Course Description

This is a project-oriented class to conduct Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research. We will first cover the latest HCI research papers and topics, then go through a complete HCI research project cycle: from finding a research topic, surveying related work, exploring the design space of possible solutions, prototyping, conducting user studies, and writing a short paper.

Past class projects have been published at top HCI conferences, such as ACM CHI, UIST, SIGGRAPH, and MobileHCI, and have received Best Paper awards.

Due to COVID19, the first class will be virtual, see link at https://mikechen.com
