課程概述 |
The course is designed to provide students with the background they need to survive and prosper in a world transformed by information technology (IT). The computer's digital technology is showing up in everything from telephones to televisions. Besides, faster-than-ever changes in the IT industries pose a challenge for all of us. Therefore, the course will present all related issues in three levels: explanations, applications and implications. There are six major parts that will be introduced to students without any engineering background in one semester, including:
Part one: approaching computers - hardware and software fundamentals
Part two: using computers - essential applications
Part three: exploring with computers - networking and the internet
Part four: living with computers - issues and implications
Part five: managing computers - information systems at work
Part six: mastering computers - from algorithms to intelligence |
