文學作品讀法下 Approaches to Literature (II) 

課程目標
The course introduces key literary terms and analytical concepts in order for students to better appreciate the value of literature and to better understand the function of literary criticism. This semester we will focus on poetry and the verse form by perusing a wide range of poems in diverse styles and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a Shakespearean drama in verse form. The basic elements of poetry, such as language, structure, rhyme, and meter, shall be discussed in the context of applicable examples. 
課程要求
Students are strongly encouraged to read the course materials prior to the class. They will be required to participate in group discussions and presentations in addition to compose journals in assigned topics.
