The course is designed for non-econ major students to have a solid overview of how (applied) economists think and see things that many other social scientists also care about. The course will be largely based "The Economy," an online open-access textbook which starts chapters with big questions from history and current affairs and then present the models for explain real-world phenomena. Materials and examples focusing on individual choices and behavior from "Economics" by Acemoglu, Laibson, and List will be supplemented throughout the course.
