課程概述 |
In the fall semester, we have concentrated on building descriptive language skills and formulating critical analysis through the appreciation of visual art. In this spring semester, we will focus more on the idea of “practice” by incorporating personal experience into independent judgment and critical reasoning. The idea of “practice” will be cultivated through the understanding of important cultural and social issues, as well as the exploration of a variety of English writings. In particular, the basic elements of literature, such as plot, setting, symbol, and motif, will be studied and examined in order to develop students’ aesthetic sensitivity when appreciating and investigating literature, art, and cultural issues.
★ The instructor reserves the right to change the course schedule. Details will be announced on the first day of class.
★ For students who need the course-add code, this class follows the manner of “first-come, first-served.” Students who inform the instructor through email about course registration will be prioritized on the waiting list. |
