Course Description

This is a national program under Ministry of Education. It provides an opportunity for ALL NTU international students and local students to match with kids from (mostly countryside) schools of all 22 cities in Taiwan. The format of the program contains both weekly Skyping (40 min) via internet and fully-sponsored field trips for meetups at the schools. Each international student will be paired up with a local student who will assist with the preparation, communication, and translation. Two official certificates, one by Ministry of Education and the other by NTU, will be issued to students of sufficient attendance in order to recognize their contribution.

Explanations for the conditions
1.
Attendance
100%
Pass: Miss no more than two sessions. Fail: Miss three or more sessions. A re-scheduling of the session within the SAME week would not be a miss, otherwise it's counted as a miss. Participation of the final field trips for meetups is optional, though strongly encouraged and may be treated as compensation for one missed session. The following cases would be counted as a miss of session: 1. Missing more than 15 minutes of any class. 2. No submission of the weekly report (at least one sentence is required in a report) 3. Incorrect picture in the report (e.g. a picture not taken in the session).
