課程概述 |
Course Description:
Through the use of a large variety of authentic video and audio documents, the students will deepen their oral comprehension proficiency. The course will be organized around various social themes, reflecting France and other French-speaking societies. It will revolves mainly around acquiring vocabulary as well as daily and professional life expressions, developing French listening skill, and using newly acquired language material. Each semester will be explored different themes, making them complementary but not mandatory throughout the year.

Course Objectives:
This course is aimed at acquiring different skills:
• Pragmatic skills: understanding daily and professional oral situations (phone calls, voice message, TV, radio, level reaching up to A2 (=French 2) by the end of semester).
• Linguistic skills: acquiring common vocabulary used in most daily and professional interactions (level reaching up to A2 (=French 2) by the end of semester).
• Sociocultural: developing the intendants knowledge of France and other French-speaking societies.

Requirements:
It is mandatory to have previously attended French 1. It is strongly advised to attend this course at the same time as French 2, as their linguistic competency reinforce each other.
