課程概述 |
Latin II is a continuation of Latin I but will focus heavily on improving your reading skills. As such, you will be reading a series of unedited and un-adapted texts primarily taken from Wheelock's Latin Reader, 2e: Selections from Latin Literature. The first semester of the course will focus primarily on Cicero’s writings, before moving on to imperial historical literature (Livy). Each text will have vocabulary notes as well as grammatical commentaries. |

The aim of the course is, first and foremost, to improve your reading skills. As such, you will be required to memorize vocabulary, identify grammatical structures, and be able to produce an accurate English translation of the passages at hand. |
