課程概述 |
The emphasis this semester will be consecutive interpretation from Chinese into English. Students will continue to work on note-taking skills for consecutive interpretation and to produce target language speeches that are accurate & complete in message, and natural in style. Public speaking techniques will be incorporated into the process. Students will also learn to build on their strengths and to make amends for their weaknesses by adopting interpreting strategies to minimize effort and maximize effect

2.to fine-tune note-taking skills
3.students should be able to interpret three-minute speeches within a given time limit

課程要求 |
Students will be working on speeches prepared by themselves or the instructor. They are expected to give presentations on designated topics and to conduct research & compile glossaries in preparation for class. Students are also required to keep a learning journal to chart progress.
