This course is designed to enhance students' English proficiency at the high-intermediate level. Each 3-hour class is divided into three sections––that is, listening, reading and group activities––in hopes of engaging all students in active learning. English is not merely about constructing sentences, but also about perceiving time, thinking logically and understanding cultural contexts; therefore, by the end of the course, students are expected to become critical readers and thinkers who depict and analyse objects with accuracy and creativity.
