This course bridges the gap between high school English and college English by introducing to students a wide array of topical issues and universal topics as explored by Ted talks and famous speeches. Students will enhance their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities through in-class activities such as listening comprehension, dictation, group discussion, scripted conversation, as well as take-home assignments such as essays. Class participation is of paramount importance. Please feel encouraged to speak up and share your thoughts with your peers.
