課程概述

課程目標
 This course is designed to help students get started in acquiring public speaking and debate skills. Students are guided through the process of planning, researching, organizing and delivering of a well written speech. Principles in preparing public speeches: targeting audiences, organizing and outlining, wording and delivery will be emphasized in this course. Informative and persuasive way of speaking and other occasion formats of speeches are also important skills to be learned in this course.  
課程要求
 Attendance and class participation are both important in this course. Students need to write their own speeches, memorize it and deliver it in class. Students will fail this course if missing more than 3 classes and/or not participating in mid-term or final exam.
