課程概述 |
In this class, students will be studying literature from different cultures around the world. The texts for them to be read include short stories, novels, poems, and plays. This literary study will be able to broaden their perspective of the world and deepen their understanding of the universal human condition. They will be asked to write some reports and participate actively in class discussion. They will also be initiated into the domains of art and music which now and then draw inspiration from literature. |

This course aims not only to improve students’ English through literature but also to help them understand and appreciate it as a form of art. |

4 exams on reading assignments: 2 quizzes, 1 midterm exam, 1 final exam
1 class presentation
3 two-page opinion papers
