Course Description
This course aims to develop student’s English proficiency regarding all four language skills. Students are expected to increase their listening comprehension and communication competence along with reading and writing literacy through a variety of in-class and out-of-class activities.

Textbook: Handouts prepared by the instructor.
Requirements and Rules
1. Class attendance, lesson preparation and active class participation are required.
2. 3 points will be deducted from the final grade for each unexcused absence. Being late for over 10 minutes is treated as absence for the class that day. If you are absent in case of uncontrollable situations (e.g. illness, emergency, etc.), be sure to give me valid proof within two weeks.
3. It is the student’s responsibility to find out what occurred and what was taught in class during his or her absence.
4. No make-up test is allowed
5. A late submission of the assignments will be penalized 2% per day.

Unit tests 45 %
Pre-test & post-test 15%
Role play 20 %
Assignments 20 %
