Course Description

Freshman English (with Aural
Training) 

Course Objective
This course aims to
familiarize students with
advanced English used on and
off campus. Students will be
reading a selection of
newspaper articles, short
articles, and poems to
enhance reading
comprehension and build up
vocabulary. Two hours per
week will be used for
listening practices through
which students will be
acquainted with spoken
English in various accents
and on different topics.
Students will be encouraged
to participate in class
discussion, using internet
resources to improve English
at home. One to two hours
per week to work on aural
assignments will be the
requirement. After all,
students are expected to
become an active learner,
which is the key to the
English language.
