The instruction language of this class is English! The students deserve at this stage immersive learning of English. In addition to reading and listening materials provided by me, peer collaboration and in-class activities are vital to this learning process. Students will constantly work with other group partners in English, since fellow students contribute to building a virtual environment of communication that is both safe and meaningful. By means of this immersion, this course will transport students from seeing English as an object of learning to using English as an extension of thinking toward the end of the school year.

This course during the fall semester seeks to enhance English proficiency in listening, reading, writing and speaking with the goal of orienting students towards academic studies. In this semester, each session will be devoted to both listening and reading. This course also offers writing sessions to cover fundamentals of paragraph writing. Meanwhile, students will have abundant opportunities for practicing English speaking, in classroom discussions, individual speeches, and group presentations.
