課程概述 |
This course will focus mainly on reading and reading strategies, accompanying with weekly listening tactics. Regarding to reading and reading strategies, the aim is to help students to approach written material with different objectives, to read for meaning, and to process information and ideas as you read. Students are also required to read a fiction book every semester in order to strengthen your reading habit. For listening tactics, in order to give students experience with listening to a variety of text types, course material would be taken from TV, video clips, and all kinds of audio clips from various textbooks. | ||||||||

課程要求 |
GROUP TERM PROJECT: The whole class will be divided into 7 teams. Every team member will be in charge of 1-2 pages (not including illustrations, tables, charts etc.) of a chosen topic.
EVALUATION: Students' grades will be based on assignments, in-class discussion, presentation, participation, quizzes, one midterm exam and one group term paper. Grading: Assignments, presentation and quizzes 50%~55% Midterm Exam 15%~25% Group term project 20%~25% Participation 10% Cheating -50% |
