課程概述 |
This is an introductory course designed to provide student translators with key Legal English vocabulary common to all areas of legal practice. The general purpose of this course is to provide theoretical and practical training in legal translation for students enrolled in the translation program. The course covers a variety of topics essential in the translation of legal documents, including contracts, company law, and intellectual property right.

課程目標 |
This course aims to improve student translators’ ability to read and understand legal texts, the ability to write common legal texts in English, and to expand use of legal vocabulary and legal expressions. The specific objectives are acquiring a basic knowledge of the main problems in legal translation; analyzing the main legal genres; practicing the main translation strategies; and translating legal texts.
