課程概述

本課程從哲學的進路介紹西方傳統發展出來的美學課題。內容包括美學作為一門哲學的學科所具有的特性、美學的問題在古希臘哲學的論述，以及美學學科在十八世紀的誕生。 

課程目標
 本課程的目標在使學生瞭解西方傳統的美學課題，把握哲學家關於「美」、「美感」（或「品味」，或「審美判斷」）、「詩」與「藝術」等美學概念的論述；並且，在瞭解這些概念的同時，反省他原本對美、美感與藝術的想法。 
課程要求
 修習本課程學生最好具有基本的哲學基礎，例如曾修習哲學概論或西洋哲學史。
