課程概述 |
中文：本課程的目的是介紹並檢視西洋古代哲學思想中psuchē (靈魂) 觀念，及它與自我、感官及認知等觀念之間的關係。課程內容分為5部分：1) 荷馬的靈魂觀；2) 希臘早期哲學家的靈魂觀；3) 柏拉圖的靈魂觀；4) 亞里斯多德論靈魂。
英文：The purpose of this course is to introduce to students the notion of psyche, and its relationship with the ideas of self, sense perceptions and cognition etc. The course is divided into four parts: 1) The psychology of Homer; 2) The psychology of the early Greek philosophers; 3) Plato’s Psychology, and 4) Aristotle’s psychology. |

中文：
1) 講述古希臘靈魂觀思想，特別是哲學家提出的相關論述。
2) 鼓勵學生關注古希臘靈魂觀或人學思想與當代相關議題的關連性
3) 協助學生發展理解及評價哲學文本所需的技能：分析、批判、詮釋、評價及應用等技能。

1) To introduce students to the idea of psyche in ancient Greek thought, particularly those proposed and held by philosophers.
2) To encourage students to see the relevance of ancient Greek notion of psyche to the present-day problems.
3) To help students to develop the skills involved in understanding and evaluating philosophical texts.
