課程概述 |
This 2-credit required course serves as a roadmap for undergraduate students who are about to receive the professional education of library and information science. Information science is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research domain. However, its origin, definition, scope and boundary are highly ambiguous. It is one of the most enthusiastically debated, appropriated, and participated research domains. This course will give you an orientation of information science from the LIS perspective. |

課程目標 |
By attending the class, you will:
1. Learn the basic concepts, histories, and current emphases of information science.
2. Learn what information science is about in regards to information content, information users, information technologies, and information services. |

課程要求 |
Enrollment priority given to LIS students including those taking LIS as a minor specialization or double degree and those who are officially enrolled in the Communication Studies Program. |
