課程概述 |
This is a course in the theory and practice of theatrical costume design. Special emphasis will be placed on rendering techniques and how computer aided design applications assist in the translation and communication of theatrical visual ideas. |
|
課程目標 |
Students in this course will investigate the analysis and conceptualization of visual ideas based on the characteristics of theatrical characters. Through lectures, in class discussion, and project critiques, the students will develop an understanding of visual design and how costumes are used to communicate theatrical ideas. The students will develop a proficiency in computer aided rendering techniques programs and apply these skills to creating their own designs. Their work will be evaluated primarily through project presentations and in class discussions and critiques. |
