課程概述 |
Since this is a language course, the content will based in some adapted materials taken from newspapers presenting in a critical way some manifestations of Spanish culture from 1975 to the present, emphasising the informal aspects that hardly have a reference in the canonical understanding of culture. The materials of the course will be read and discussed during the class. Students’ participation is expected, especially through debates after every topic. Additionally, two formal presentations should be done, either about one of the topics of the syllabus or about any other topic that the student is interested in. Both presentations should be about the same topic (either about one Spanish of Taiwanese topic). The first one will be descriptive. The second one discursive (reaching a conclusion by comparison), so it is advised to compare a Taiwanese pop topic to a somehow related Spanish pop one. The first presentation should be done in a Power Point format, while for the second one it is encouraged to use Movie Maker format (it is not difficult to learn, but time consuming). |
