課程概述 |
This course will present in a critical way the classical Spanish cultural manifestations as flamenco, bullfighting, traditional feasts (Feria de Abril, Fallas, Sanfermines, etc.), religious manifestations (Holy Week, Christmas), etc., in order to understand the variety of Spanish Folk culture. The materials of the course will be read and discussed during the class. Students’ participation is expected mainly in the debates and through a two formal presentations of 10 minutes. The first presentation in Spanish will be about the description of a traditional Taiwanese festival with some similarities with one of those presented in the syllabus. The second presentation will be discursive one, making a comparison with a Taiwanese “counterpart” festival, if any. Nevertheless—if need it—the final plan will be adjusted according to the needs and possibilities of the students.
The course will have two exams, with two kinds of questions: (1) synthesis of one of the topics and (2) a simulated debate related to the topics. The presentations should refer, in principle, to a Taiwanese topic related/similar to those in Spain. The first presentation will be descriptive, while the second discursive (solving a question), in principle about the same topic. They can be done either in Power Point or Movie Maker formats. It is encouraged to do the first one in ppt, while the second way in Movie Maker (to learn the usage of this software is not very difficult). |
