本課程為歷史學研究所必選課程，主要內容為選讀、討論以英文發表的重要西洋史論文，以提高學生英文能力與世界史的專業知識。

一、提升研究所學生專業英文業度能力。
二、加強研究所學生西洋史專業知識。
