課程概述	「歷史是一門研究人在時間中的學問」，Marc Blch標示了歷史學探尋的主要對象和性質。二十世紀開始，學者對於「時間」的研究，逐漸從物理和哲學的層面，擴充至心理學、社會學、經濟學與人類學，並且發展出繁富的概念和實證研究。法國年鑑學派亦極早關注歷史與時間的關係，且累積了豐富的討論。本課程擬一方面引介不同學科探究「時間」的成果，二方面則以近代臺灣社會為核心對象，思考如何以「時間的社會史」為取徑，探討臺灣社會與文化的變遷軌跡。
課程目標	1. 藉由研讀現有時間社會史的研究成果，使學生理解此一領域的基本概念、問題意識和主要課題和研究趨勢，並為日後研究累積比較對照的線索。 2. 以共同解讀史料的方式，使同學相互討論基礎史料的性質及其可能的運用方式。 3. 藉由本課程，期使同學能對現存時間社會史的諸多面向，產生具有歴史縱深的反思性認識。
課程要求	一、課堂閱讀並積極參與討論（40﹪）二、參與小組史料解析作業（20﹪），上課說明細節。三、期末繳交研究回顧（review article）或研究論文（research paper）一篇，請先與我討論文的方向。（40%）
