課程概述 |
1400至1700年,在歐洲歷史或藝術史,可簡稱為文藝復興和巴洛克時代。這三百年也稱為早期近代歐洲 (Early Modern Europe),以世界史視野來說,是當今全球網絡形塑的第一個重要時期。此課程延續歐洲史傳統上的時代指稱「文藝復興」和「巴洛克」,並更進一步以世界史或全球史的角度討論兩個時代指稱的意義。整體課程內容以歷史為背景基礎,並以藝術史和視覺素材為主要的文化上之討論對象。課程內容設計以大三以上至研究所為標準,屬進階課程,採專題深入討論,而非通史介紹方式。
課程內容以下列三大主題進行:第一、文藝復興綜論,和當時歐洲歷史和文化的轉變。第二、16世紀後半文藝復興時代的結束,和進入17世紀歐洲所面臨的挑戰及轉化,亦即從文藝復興到巴洛克的轉變。巴洛克一詞之爭議及相關問題,也將在此主題討論。第三、17世紀的歐洲,其有關議題和所包括的地區,不只在歐洲本身,也在其歐洲以外的殖民及傳教區。地理擴張及海外傳教對歐洲的世界觀有相當的影響,並進而形塑近代歐洲和全球網絡,亦是本主題的重點。本課程並將在這個思考中檢視巴洛克藝術的定義。 |
