課程概述

從黑格爾開創現代性話語開始，經由馬克思、韋伯，哈伯馬斯等人的發展，現代性儼然成為是當代哲學中最為熱門的議題。其有關於現代性的理論思想或對於現代性的批判主要是圍繞人的「主體性（subjectivity）」而展開討論，而其合法性危機的根源就是世界對於個人價值的侵蝕。這種影響包含了社會中的多個面向，比如政治、社會、歷史、資本、科技以及剛剛興起元宇宙（Metaverse）等。 

課程目標
 1.整理現代性理論，掌握問題的本質
2.對社會現象做出明確的詮釋
3.針對議題探討新的觀點及解決方案 
課程要求
 閱讀指定材料，定期進行討論，撰寫研究報告
