課程概述

柏拉圖的靈魂三分觀是柏拉圖中期對話錄裡一重要的人學及倫理學的概念，其中一個研究議題聚焦於，柏拉圖的《理想國篇》裡是否有靈魂三分的概念？若有，它如何面對靈魂會無限三分的指控？若沒有，對話錄中的靈魂觀又該如何理解？本課程的目的是希望藉由閱讀《理想國篇》中相關的段落及有關二手詮釋，引導學生討論，柏拉圖在這部對話錄中是否主張靈魂具有三部分的概念。課程主要由下列幾個部分組成：
1) 導論：靈魂觀與柏拉圖對話錄編年的問題
2) 《理想國篇》中的靈魂觀
3) 話錄裡的靈魂觀是否支援靈魂三分的概念？
4) 結論 

課程目標
 在完成此課程後修課的學生除了應發展分析、批判、詮釋、評價及應用等技巧外，亦應有能力
1) 對古希臘靈魂關提供概述說明。
2) 對柏拉圖的對話錄的編年問題提出一說明。
3) 對《理想國篇》中的靈魂觀提供一完整的說明。
4) 說明柏拉圖在《理想國篇》中的靈魂觀是否具有三分的概念。 
課程要求
 本課程除講授外，每位修課同學應確實閱讀指定的文獻，並於課堂討論。
