課程概述 |
到目前為止對於康德道德哲學的研究文獻裡，大部分學者都把注意力集中在《道德形上學的基礎》(Grundlegung zur Metaphysik der Sitten)和《實踐理性批判》(Kritik der praktischen Vernunft)兩本系統性著作，偶而零星會有一些康德學者集中精神在批判前期的倫理學，或者以康德晚年的《道德形上學》(Metaphysik der Sitten)作為研究對象，但卻很少兼顧兩種面向。本課程嘗試從康德的倫理學的時間先後發展來切入，以期能夠看出其倫理學體系的全貌。
康德的倫理學思想可以找出一個問題的發展線索：康德約在1764年最早確定的倫理學核心問題是「定言令式如何可能？」，亦即定言令式的證成問題。在1785年之前，康德曾經嘗試幾個不同的可能性，為「定言令式」尋找一個證成基礎，但是最後都失敗。1785年的《道德形上學的基礎》重新開啟定言令式的證成問題之研究，但是在1788年的《實踐理性批判》一書又承認自己1785年這個證成嘗試並不成功，並提出「理性事實」學說來取代「證成問題」。康德1797年的《道德形上學》一書中，康德以「定言令式」理論為基礎建立其「義務論」與「法哲學」。
本課程以兩個問題為主軸：(1)道德原理的理論建構(1785,1788)，(2)依據道德原理所建立的實質道德規範及義務(1797)。因此，本課程擬依照以下的著作順序進行討論及二手文獻研究：
(1) 《道德形上學的基礎》(1785)中對定言令式證成的嘗試
(2) 《實踐理性批判》(1788)中的理性事實學說
(3) 《道德形上學》(1797)中以定言令式建立的義務論及法哲學
