課程概述

本課程將介紹早期分析哲學的發展歷史，特別是弗列格（Frege）如何帶動語言轉向的潮流，以及他的語言哲學立場與他建立的邏輯系統之間的關係。而羅素（Russell）又是如何發揚及駁斥弗列格的理論，以及他著名的邏輯原子論如何影響往後語言哲學和形上學的發展。最後會介紹維根斯坦（Wittgenstein）對這兩位哲學的回應，以及他在《邏輯哲學論》（Tractutus Logico- Philosophicus）提出的新穎且饒富爭議的看法。 

課程目標
 熟悉分析哲學的由來和早期發展，並掌握早期分析哲學家關注的課題（語言哲學、邏輯、邏輯哲學、形上學）及相關爭論和立場。 
課程要求
 每週皆有指定閱讀文章。學生應於課前讀完文章，撰寫摘要，並於上課前將摘要寄給老師。每次上課會指定一位同學報告文章內容，其餘同學提問討論。期末應繳交期末報告。
