文化人類學基礎理論
(Fundermental Theories of Cultural Anthropology )

學分(Credits)：3


修習對象(Students)：1.人類學系碩士班研究生必修
2.外系外校畢業未獲抵免之博士班研究生必修
3.外系所研究生經教師同意者得以選修
4.旁聽同學須負同等修課任務。


課程目的(Purpose)：

本課程主授人類學基礎理論。從古典到當代，從「現代」批判到後現代論述，以及從概念檢討到模型建構，本課將儘可能面面俱到，讓同學們品嚐學理建置與棄置的歷程。有了本課的研修基礎，期望對同學修習其它專論課程時，能起融通開創的效果。

 

課程目標
 課程目的(Purpose)：

對文化人類學與社會科學的理論發展作歷史性回顧，並閱讀重要的民族誌範例，使學生對學術思想發展脈絡有清楚的掌握，並培養其獨立思考與分析理論性議題的能力。課程分為兩部份，前五週集中在古典理論的閱讀與闡釋；第六週開始進入人類學的誕生與發展、當代議題與民族誌。

上課形式與評分
這是一門以閱讀討論為主的專題課，除了前面幾週的古典理論由我主要帶領討論與上課外，第五週開始，前兩堂課修課同學要輪流負責摘要報告，並帶領課堂討論。第三堂由我講課並總結。

每堂課上課前，請先繳交閱讀材料之摘要2-3頁。摘要後，歡迎同學以他有興趣的領域或區域的材料為基礎，提供比較或批評的意見。同學書寫摘要時，建議自我提問諸如：「作者的核心關懷為何？」或者「作者如何串連小論證以完備主要論證？」讓摘要的書寫不僅是全文大意。

期末請繳交期末報告一篇，題目可以是理論整理，個案分析或比較。必須在15頁以上(不包含書目)。請在第13週或之前，與我先討論報告題目。我不接受沒有事先確認可行的期末報告。
 
課程要求
 1. 事先研讀指定教材，做好課前摘要。
2. 參與課堂討論。
