本課程將探討管理上可能面臨的各種互動關係，並進而介紹有效管理的方法。心理學在管理上的運用，乃是本課程討論的重點。課程區分成三大單元，分別為個體心理與管理、群體心理與管理，以及組織心理與管理三個層次。在課程的開始，將就個人行為、群體行為分別論述；其次，將探討組織溝通、組織情緒、組織衝突管理等相關議題；最後則闡述有關組織領導心理的部份。

The purpose of the class is to examine major issues in and approaches to the study of management psychology as applied to library and information services. Topics about individual difference, employee motivation and attitude, learning theory, decision making and problem solving strategies, negotiation, conflict resolution, changes managing, assertiveness training, leadership behavior, organizational culture, organizational communication, and group dynamics are included. By the end of this course students should be able to explore an organizational system, develop strategies for improving the environment for cooperation, and practice a variety of management, communication and organizational skills to facilitate appropriate change within library setting.
