課程概述 |
This course is designed as the second half of a year-long project, following Speech Perception and Production (I), which covered the acquisition of sound perception as well as development of speech motor control, and feedback mechanisms. This course will first extend our topics to multi-modal perturbation and integration, and perception and production in second language. In the second half of the course, the course will then be oriented to designing and conducting research experiments proposed by enrolled students.
This course is an intermediate to advanced course for graduate-level students.

In this semester, students are expected to continue their research projects proposed from Speech Perception and Production (I), by conducting a carefully designed experiment. Building on the knowledge from Speech Perception and Production (I), in this semester, students are expected to familiarize themselves with experimental designs and required equipment. Additional attention on data collection and analyses would be addressed throughout this semester. This research project is ought to turn into a full-range conference proceeding paper (?4 pages) or a journal paper. |
