課程概述

To have students understand:
* basic terms of the statistics field
* how tables, charts and graphs work
* the logic that underlies the use of statistics
* an approach to critiquing and assessing statistical research
 

課程目標
 To have student learn how to:
* understand data and relationships
* compare means
* draw inferences 
課程要求
 * No absences or tardies are allowed without my prior permission or a doctor’s
note from the university health center or a public hospital. All other absences
or tardies are considered unexcused absences or tardies.

* You will receive no credit towards your contribution or assignments/quizzes
or exams for an unexcused absence.

* It is the student’s responsibility to find out what occurred and what was
taught in class during his or her absence. If a surprise quiz, or assignment
was given or due, it is the student’s responsibility to make up that work.

* Make-up work that requires the teacher’s presence (to listen to a recitation
or presentation or to give an exam) will be completed at a time convenient to
the teacher. It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements with the
teacher immediately upon his or her return to class.

* All assignments must be typed (not hand-written).

* Tardy assignments will receive no credit.

* Partial credit may be given for contribution for an unexcused tardy. If you
are late to an exam, you will only have the remaining time to complete the
exam.
