課程概述 |
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course offers an introduction to selected principles and methodologies of research in historical musicology. |
|
課程目標 |
COURSE GOALS: to develop an understanding of diverse approaches to historical investigation; to practice the application of these approaches to actual research projects |

課程要求 |
Class meetings will focus on discussions of readings (which will be posted on this website). A short response paper of approximately one page on the assigned reading must be submitted each week.
Final presentations, devoted to critically discussing the application of major issues raised in this course to students’ present or future research, will take place during the last two class meetings of the half-semester. Final papers based on the presentations will also be due following the end of the course.
