Course Description |
This course is meticulously designed for Chinese language learners who have successfully completed an elementary-level Chinese curriculum, possessing a foundational vocabulary of at least 1000 characters and common phrases. Students are expected to have a solid grasp of basic Chinese grammar, including foundational sentence structures, and a preliminary understanding of various verbal tenses and aspects. Their proficiency level is ideally situated between A1 and A2, where they can manage simple daily conversations but require further development in practical, real-world communication skills, particularly in nuanced social interactions like making phone calls. |
|
Course Objective |
1.Students will be able to clearly communicate in Chinese in common daily-life scenarios by appropriately using basic vocabulary and sentence patterns in listening and speaking tasks.
2.Students will be able to actively participate in everyday conversations by effectively engaging in communicative activities such as self-introductions, exchanging personal information, and small talk in Chinese.
3.Students will be able to confidently perform practical spoken interactions in real-life contexts, including inviting others to leisure activities and successfully handling checkout conversations at convenience stores or supermarkets.
4.Students will be able to appropriately apply learned language patterns and strategies by independently completing role-plays, task-based activities, and group assignments to enhance overall oral communication skills. |
