Course Description

The curriculum of the course is designed for Chinese learners who are studying a beginning course in Chinese. Course Objective
1.The goal of the course is to help the learners acquire basic language ability for the most common use in their daily conversation. This course was designed to combine the communicative teaching approach and focused on developing the comprehensive ability of Chinese listening, speaking. The whole course is taught only in Chinese, which enables learners to have sufficient opportunities to use Chinese in daily life. The student will learn how to have a conversation in Chinese and gain confidence speaking Chinese with this course. 2.A wide range of topics will be covered in this course, including introduce self and others and exchange personal related information with others, buying food or drinks, bargaining, buying tickets, describe and assess food and their tastes in a simple way, explain one’s own location and position, make a travel plan, etc. 3.This course diversifies its teaching and learning approach, which includes speaking interaction, role-play, task-based activities, pattern drills, and individual assignments. 
Course Requirement
1.上課遲到或早退20分鐘者,以缺席一小時計算。上課當天缺席者,課堂表現也以零分計算。Students who are late or leave 20 minutes early will be counted as absent for one hour. If you are absent on the day of class, you will receive a zero for your performance in class. 2.期中考與期末考僅病假者能延後考試,但須附上醫生證明。若因個人因素需要提早考期末考,期末考成績將以九成計算,滿分最高只有90分。 The course will be conducted in accordance with the following guidelines If you need to take the final exam early due to personal factors, the final exam grade will be calculated at 90% and the maximum score will be 90 points. 3.上課時請勿飲食。 No food or beverages during class. 4.老師或同學發言時請注意聆聽。 Listen while others are speaking. 5.保持自動自發學習精神。 Be responsible for your own learning. 6.需提早離開或請假應出具請假證明。 Inform the teacher and present an excuse in advance if you must leave during the class.
