Course Description

1. 本課程適合已修習「國際生初級臺語」之學生選修。
This class is limited to students who have taken Basic Taiwanese.
2. 本課程授課語言以華語及台語為主,英語為輔。
The medium of instruction is mainly Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. It will be supplemented with English as appropriate. 

Course Objective
本課程以培養學生能達到國立成功大學台灣語文測驗中心按歐盟CEFR(Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)所訂定之全民台語認證B1(Threshold / intermediate)中級之程度為目標。按其分級標準說明,達致此一程度者針對一般職場、學校、休閒等場合常遇到的熟悉事物,能了解清晰且標準信息的重點。在目標語言地區旅遊時,能應付大部分可能會出現的狀況。針對熟悉或私人感興趣的主題,能創作簡單有連貫的篇章。能敘述經驗、事件、夢想、希望及抱負,而且對意見及計畫能簡短地提出理由和說明。
在讀寫方面,本課程希望學生能大致無誤地以全羅馬字進行讀寫,並藉此養成自行使用工具查詢字詞的能力。

The goal of this course is to help students reach the B1 level of the General Taiwanese Proficiency Test held by CTLT, NCKU. According to the Institute, B1 level, based on CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), requires the following capacities:
1. Being able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
2. Being able to deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
3. Being able to produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
4. Being able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
Students are also expected to be learn to read well and write well in Taiwanese Romanization, by which they would be able to consult dictionaries themselves. 
Course Requirement
