課程概述 |
This is an introductory course that aims to equip students with the fundamental skills necessary for consecutive interpretation CI between Mandarin and English. We will learn (and re-learn) effective ways to listen to, analyze and assimilate information. We will explore how memory works and learn how to retain and recall information at will. We will examine speech texts and learn conference jargon. Through summary exercises, we will learn how to glean the gist and extract meaning from discourse. Note-taking skills for consecutive interpreting will also be introduced to enable you to develop your own CI note-taking system. |
