This course is designed to introduce to students fundamental skills for consecutive interpreting through hands-on practice with different topics, and end with a joint final exam in both E-C and C-E. In between, emphasis is placed on stage presence, presentation, active listening, identification of main messages, note-taking skills, and so on. Students will hone these skills through class practice/discussions, and are expected to expand vocabulary, improve register and engage in self-motivated practice sessions outside the class.
