Course Description
This course is an introduction to the theory, study and practice of audiovisual (subtitle) translation (AVT). |
|
課程目標 |
Course Objectives
Production of seamless, possibly creative subtitle translation in different genres; exploration of critical and scholarly approaches to audiovisual translation. |
|
課程要求 |
Requirements:
1. Weekly subtitling homework and readings
2. Presentations (20-30 minutes, including Q&A), 1 on a scholarly article, 1 on a Master's thesis, 1 on the editing of a clip from a film, 1 on your own family history subtitling project or academic paper (see 3 below)
3. Final individual subtitling/dubbing project of about 5 minutes or academic article of about 8-10 double spaced pages |
