課程概述 |
Course Description
A course in adaptation as translation, in which we'll test the tensions between the verbal and the visual. |
課程目標 |
Course Objectives:
1) Introduce students to literary and film analysis
2) Encourage students to become critical viewers of film and fiction
3) Give students a chance to be creative members of a collective endeavor
4) Explore the range of adaptation within and between textual and visual media
5) Investigate recent attempts to make translation studies relevant to adaptation |

Choose your favorite Harry Potter book and discuss how it was adapted for the screen. Other topics are possible, as long as you talk about visual-verbal translation. You will be marked for English! We are also on the lookout for plagiarism (sorry!). So don't even dream of finding your essay on the internet! Or getting someone to write it. |
