課程目標 |
This course provides you the general physics knowledge at the university level, which will be useful for you to analyze physical problems you may encounter in the studies of Materials Engineering. The course emphasizes on conveying the physical concepts and aims to provide you the fundamental knowledge to further your studies in physics related topics in the future.
The first part of this class will focus on delivering the fundamental of Maxwell equations in solving the E&M problems. The second part of this course will focus on elaborating Maxwell equations on electromagnetic wave and light propagation.
Part of the lecture notes will be given. To encourage discussion, part of the lecture will be delivered with onsite derivations and illustration with lecture note written on board.
In this semester, students are encouraged to improve their physics learning using English as medium and an essay will be assigned.
In addition to the discussion in the lecture, students are encourage to make use of modern learning tools, including AI, wikipedia, references, to improve their understandings. |
