Course Description |
以第七版“Fundamentals of
Physics”為主要教科書,第二學
期的課程內容將涵括第21到36
章的電磁學和光學等部分。
This course is aimed to provide a solid physics foundation for those students
from the Department of Biochemical Science and Technology. Starting from high-
school physics, emphasis will be put on the comprehension of fundamental
concepts with minimal required mathematical manipulation. The elegant
application of physics on life science will be introduced.
The textbook is “Fundamentals of Physics” by Halliday, Resnick and Walker, 7-
th edition, extended version. In the second semester, chapter 21 to 39 will be
lectured, covering concepts of electromagnetics, optics, and introduction to
modern physics. The detailed schedule will be announced in class. Exercises
are will be assigned at the end of each chapter. |
