課程概述 |
Optics play an pivotal role in our everyday lives. This course serves as an initiation into the fundamental principles of optics. These principles serve as the bedrock for a vast array of technologies spanning from optical instruments to contemporary cable communications.
This course is designed to explore the realm of electromagnetic waves within the optical spectrum. This involves a comprehensive examination of photons and light, as well as an analysis of components that influence their behavior within a given medium. Additionally, the curriculum delves into the exploration of intricate phenomena like interference and diffraction, while also elucidating their practical utilization in lasers and laser optoelectronic devices.
|
課程目標 |
Upon completion of this course, students will be adept at employing mathematical principles to dissect optical systems. This proficiency encompasses:
1. Employing geometry to elucidate the path of light as it traverses lenses, mirrors, prisms, and other optical configurations.
2. Formulating geometric explanations for the processes of reflection and refraction.
3. Utilizing geometry to ascertain the polarization properties of light.
4. Calculating reflection and transmission coefficients with precision.
5. Constructing and scrutinizing the propagation attributes of light within linear media.
6. Crafting and analyzing intricate patterns of interference and diffraction. |
