This is a one-year course that covers all the major areas of chemistry. It starts with a description of the composition and property of matter in terms of atoms and molecules. It follows by introducing the basic chemical principles including the atomic and molecular structures, states of matter, reactions, chemical equilibria, properties of solutions, kinetics, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, properties of representative and transition elements, nuclear chemistry, organic and biochemical molecules.
