課程概述

This is a one-semester, freshmen-level general chemistry course for science and engineering majors.

課程目標
The goal of this course is for students to develop basic chemistry concepts. The emphasis is on atomic and molecular electronic structure, chemical bonding, chemical equilibrium and kinetics, crystal field theory, and organic chemistry. The lectures are conducted in Mandarin; though homework, quizzes, and exams are mostly available in English.
課程要求
1.Course materials and announcements will be primarily available on NTU COOL. Please make sure that you can access the site.
2. The exams are closed-book. You can use a scientific calculator but no other electronic device.
3. Cheating is not allowed nor tolerated in this course – violators will receive 0 points for the exam AND are subject to disciplinary actions from NTU.
4. Homework and quizzes submitted later than the stated deadline will NOT be graded.
5. Please follow the university rules (https://advisory.ntu.edu.tw/CMS/Page/44) to request student leave, especially if you will miss exam(s).
6. Do NOT nap in the classroom or chat with others. If you do not want to attend lectures, then don’t come – lecture slides and audio recordings will be uploaded to NTU COOL. Please respect the right to education of your fellow classmates.
