有機化學是探討有機分子的結構與其性質關係的學問,藉由對有機小分子行為的了解,進而推展至對生物大分子行為之認識,是本課程的主要目的。
The course of organic chemistry is about the structure-properties relationships of organic molecules. We will start from small organic molecules and end up with large biomolecules. |

課程目標 |
1.熟悉基礎有機分子結構,有機反應與生物有機分子
Become familiar with basic structures of organic molecules, chemical reactions, and bio-organic molecules.
2.了解有機化合物的性質、活性與應用。
Understand the properties, activities, and applications of organic compounds.
3.學習基礎有機反應,並可從不同面向推論反應類型。
Learn fundamental organic reactions and be able to infer reaction types from different perspectives.
4.瞭解透過光譜鑑定分析有機化合物的原理及流程。
Understand the principles and procedures for identifying and analyzing organic compounds using spectroscopic methods.
5.藉由演講說明與練習完整學習有機化學。
Achieve a comprehensive understanding of organic chemistry through lectures and exercises. |

課程要求 |
先修課程:普通化學
Prerequisite Course: General Chemistry
欲加簽者請確認有修過普化,原則上僅加簽本系(醫牙)學生,外系學生應先詢問教師是否同意加簽,獲教師同意者後再向助教領取加簽單由教師簽名。
Those who want to add the course need to complete General Chemistry. In principle, permission is granted only to students of department of Medicine and Dentistry. Students from other departments should first ask the instructor to get permission. With instructor’s permission, students should request an application form from the teaching assistant and have it signed by the instructor.
1.第一次上課助教將會發放上課證,請同學務必出席,並於3/5(四)前繳交上課證,未繳交者不得考試,當日亦不得要求安排座位。
During the first class, the teaching assistant will offer an attendance certificate. Students must attend the class and submit the certificate by Thursday, March 5. Those who fail to submit it will not be allowed to take the exams, and seating arrangements will not be provided.
2.在課前會上傳ppt供同學下載。
Slides will be uploaded before class for students to download.
3.上課不懂之處可以隨時向老師提問,考試以上課內容及教科書為主。
Students are encouraged to ask the instructor during the class if they do not understand the content. Exams will be based on the lecture and the textbook.
4.課前預習有助理解課程,若未能預習,務必課後複習當周課程。
Previewing before the class helps student to understand better. If previewing is not possible, be sure to review the week’s course after the class.
5.修課學生須準時參加兩次考試,除了因公務或疾病原因外(需醫院證明),缺考者該次考試成績以零分計算。
Students must attend two scheduled exams on time. Except for official duties or illness (with a medical certificate), any absence will result in a score of zero for that exam.
6.學期成績由兩次考試依比例計算,不會有額外加分。
The semester grade will be calculated based on the weighted scores of two exams, with no additional bonus points. |

預期每週課前或/與課後學習時數 |
課後學習時數:每周4小時複習+2小時寫習題
Study time after class: 4 hours for review and 2 hours for working on exercises per week .
各章結束後助教會勾選習題供學生練習,對於考試會很有幫助。
After each chapter, the teaching assistant will select exercises for students to practice, which will be very helpful for exam preparation. |

Office Hours |
每週四 12:10~13:10 每週一 12:10~13:10 備註: 1.TA hour地點為上課教室。
TA hours will be held in the same classroom.
2.上課前及中堂休息皆可來問助教問題。
Students may ask the questions before class and during the break.
3.若12:20後沒有學生來問問題,TA會先行離開,故請同學把握時間。
If no students come to ask questions after 12:20, TA will leave early. Students should make good use of the available time.
4.考試前視學生需求得加開TA hour。
Additional TA hours may be scheduled before exams, depending on student demand. |
