The primary goal of this course is to improve students’ qualitative and quantitative knowledge by introducing some basic concepts in analytical chemistry. The textbook is Analytical Chemistry by Christian/Dasgupta/Schug. The teaching materials cover basic analytical concepts, buffers, electrolytes, complexometric titration, electrochemical analysis, spectrochemical analysis (absorption, fluorescence, and chemiluminescence), principles of chromatography, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and capillary electrophoresis. |
